ViCAS leadership team
ViCAS is led by four professors from the University of Vienna, with microbiologist Michael Wagner serving as the Centre's spokesperson. Appointed by the Rectorate for a term of three years starting March 2025, they represent the diverse range of disciplines at the University of Vienna (humanities, life sciences, natural and social sciences).
Manuela Baccarini, who serves as Vice Rector for Research and International Affairs, is also a member of the board of directors. In this capacity, she acts as a direct link between the Rectorate and the ViCAS leadership team.
